Bayern Munich's coach Vincent Kompany has indicated that in the duel that his team played on Wednesday against Barcelona, resolved by a 4-1 win for the Catalans, "there were good moments" and "not everything went wrong" for the Bavarian squad.
In the run-up to the clash between Bayern Munich and Bochum, the coach stressed that “there are games in which it is clear what happened, but this was a game with many moments”, some of them “good” for his team in which, he emphasized, they did not take advantage or were not “too focused”.
“We conceded four goals, but it wasn't solely because of the defence. It's too easy to say that. The responsibility lies with the whole team. We have the quality and the players. I understand that we lost and we have to accept the criticism. But I don't want to lose sight of what the boys can achieve if they take the next steps,” said Kompany.
Likewise, the Belgian also defended Bayern goalkeeper and captain Manuel Neuer, who has been criticised in Germany for his performance in the European showdown.
“When we lose, we all lose together, not only Manu, but the whole team and the coaches. That's important. If Manu changes his game, it will be to get even better,” he concluded.
