Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez admitted that Tuesday's 3-1 defeat in the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinals against Borussia Dortmund">Borussia Dortmund, which sent the ‘Cules’ through to the semifinals, was not “their best game” of the season.
"We knew it was going to be a difficult match despite the result of the first leg. It wasn't our best game, it cost us a bit, we had to suffer a lot and learn from our mistakes. We are happy to go through to the next round", said the player from Huelva in statements to ‘Movistar Liga de Campeones’.
Fermin acknowledged that reaching the semifinals of the top continental competition was “a very important goal” that generated “a lot of excitement”, after “so many years (six) in which the club did not reach”.
"We hope to have a great semi-final. We all hope to reach the final, but we know it will be difficult and we will try to play a great tie to get there," he added.
