Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti boasted that Real Madrid have a healthy dressing room in an interview with the 'Times': "We won La Liga because there are no egos here. I don't know what will happen in the future, but now there is no jealousy between the young players. He also stressed that others like Kroos, Carvajal, Modric and co. are also humble.
"They think I'm a kind of kind grandfather. Don Carlo, they call me... or Maestro. I have to say I really like that," he added in relation to his good understanding with his players.
On the other hand, Ancelotti reflected on the way his team plays: "For me there is no style. Nothing. Mine is not recognised, because I change. The style takes into account the preparation of the players’.
"Against Manchester City we played with a low block and a strong defence. We have played like that once or twice this season, no more. We are more offensive. But I saw that as the way to compete and win that game," he continued.
On the other hand, the Italian explained how the defeat to Atletico Madrid, the only one in La Liga, affected his approach: "At the beginning we did very well, Bellingham scored a lot of goals, but then in that game we conceded three goals in crosses because the right side was not covered. So we changed and put Jude in to help defensively on the inside".
On another matter, the 'Merengue' coach said about Vinicius: "He doesn't want to play inside, so I won't force him. He doesn't show his best quality there, so I have to give him freedom. He's always been fantastic one-on-one, but I've helped him to be more effective inside, not just on the flanks. He's quick, he's very talented, but he has to beat two people from distance to be able to shoot. That movement in the middle of the pitch, with one touch he can score a goal."
On the subject of the European Super League, Ancelotti did not go into depth: "Florentino Perez, the president, is 77 years old. He doesn't want everything to always change". He also assured that the club is "well managed" and that "things are being done very well".
Finally, Ancelotti showed his more personal side when it comes to football: "The key point is that I have a lot of passion, but I'm not obsessed with my job. I liked it a lot, as a player, as a coach, but I don't go crazy. I am calm.
