"When I reach the hotel, I'll start crying"
Argentina player Cristian Romero spoke after the semi-final against Croatia and he confessed that he still cannot believe that Argentina are in the Qatar World Cup. In addition, he added that he will cry when he reaches the hotel.

Argentina managed to make the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar after beating Croatia 3-0. After the match, several footballers spoke to the media including Tottenham and Argentina footballer Cristian Romero.
"I still haven't realised it, I haven't been able to think about it. Probably, when I reach the hotel, I will start crying," the defender admitted after the final whistle. In addition, he said that they are "happy" because of the good match they had.
The Argentinian knew first hand thow difficult it was to reach Sunday's decider. "Reaching a World Cup final doesn't happen every day. You have to enjoy it, but we want to go for more," he said.
He also remembered Leo Messi, who key in the semi-final: "It's crazy, you all know how he is as a player, but not so much about the type of person he is. He's the main man, a guy who's always looking for more. He's been hit so much that he gets up again and goes in search of new things."
Lastly, he said that Argentina were "deserved victors" although "it got difficult at times." However, compared to the rest of the matches, the Argentine said that they knew how "to resolve it. Argentina, with goals from Messi and a brace from Julian Alvarez, will face France or Morocco in Sunday's final.
