"When Real Madrid appears, all other offers lose value"

Turkey's Arda Guler said at his unveiling as a Real Madrid player that, when he received a proposal from the Madrid club, "all other offers lose value" and he ruled out Barcelona's, in a process in which a call with Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti was also important.
"There have been many clubs that have shown interest and we have had contacts, but when Real Madrid appeared, for me the rest of the offers lost value," he said in the press room of the Madrid training complex.
"When the talks with Real Madrid started, Ancelotti called me and told me he wanted to see me. I respect him a lot. He called me several times, told me where he was going to position me and we had good communication.
Guler pointed to Madrid's legends such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Mesut Ozil, Zinedine Zidane and Jose Maria Gutierrez 'Guti', all of whom he has admired.
"Cristiano Ronaldo's legacy is very important, everyone knows it. I've always admired Ozil, Zidane and Guti and I want to be a legend like them. I want to be part of Real Madrid's history", he said.
