"When Vlahovic was 15 years old, he told me he would be the Ibrahimovic of Serbia"
The now retired Valeri Bojinov, a former player with clubs such as Fiorentina and Lecce, met Dusan Vlahovic at Partizan Belgrade nine years ago. The Bulgarian, even back then, saw that the striker could make history if he set his mind to it. "He was fascinated by champions like Ibrahimovic and Cristiano Ronaldo, he worked hard to reach their level," he said.

At 24, Dusan Vlahovic has plenty of challenges in football. His former team-mate Valeri Bojinov is delighted to see what the player, whom he met in 2015 at Partizan when he was just 15, has become.
"I've known this kid since we were teammates at Partizan. I watched him grow up before my eyes and already at 15 he had a strong and determined character," he explained on 'Radio Serie A'.
Bojinov, who also played as a striker, always knew he was not just any player: " He often told me: 'I will become the Ibrahimovic of Serbia. I am the strongest player."
The now-retired player recalled that in addition to the Swede, Cristiano Ronaldo was also his idol. "He was fascinated by champions like them. He worked hard to reach his level," he said.
Bojinov does not doubt that Vlahovic can succeed in Turin, as long as Juventus are there to help him. "It is clear that he is a real leader on the pitch because of his aggressiveness and hunger for success, but he needs the support of his team to push himself to the maximum," he concluded.
