Iago Aspas has plenty of energy left in him. The Celta legend does not want to hear talk of retirement and is looking forward to a few last years in Europe, although he knows it will be very difficult without outside support.

Iago Aspas is the heart and soul of Celta Vigo. The player from Moana has once again struggled to stay in the category with the Galician side, and now breathes a sigh of relief ahead of next season, which he expects to be less stressful than the current one.
Despite his seniority, the 'Prince of the Bateas' does not want to hear talk of retirement. "My body and mind will tell me. If I feel good next season, if I continue to get playing time and my legs hold up, I'll talk to the club to find out what they think and if we continue for another season. If I don't play, I don't enjoy myself and I come to training and everything hurts, talking to the club, it will be best if I retire and we talk about something else," he told 'Marca'.
Aspas is clear that Celta is the last club of his sporting career: "It was clear to me from the moment I returned from Sevilla in 2015. I have my family, my children, my wife and my parents. Everything I need is here, I don't need more to be happy".
Aspas hopes not to suffer as much as in recent years, and at the same time he took a dig at Girona, who will play next season in the new Champions League format.
"In terms of budget we are in the ninth to eleventh place bracket, I think that would be our place. Nowadays, the leap to Europe is very difficult because of the difference in budgets and the distribution of money. It could be like Girona, with the support they have from Manchester City, because otherwise they wouldn't be able to have those players. I would like to go back to Europe, but at the moment I think it's difficult, I think we have to move between eighth and tenth place," he said.
