The coach emphasised two information that had emerged in the last few hours and that were supposedly linked to his continuity in the team. He is neither staying because there is no money to pay him for the last year and that he will not coach the team, nor will he make substantial changes to his technical staff.

Joan Laporta and Xavi Hernandez spoke about the change of direction in the team's future and the coach's continuity in the Barcelona dugout until the end of his contract in 2025.
Xavi was categorical in relation to the rumour that the board was against his continuity and would only have reconsidered it due to the team's economic difficulties. "The president and Deco know that if I had not continued I would not have been paid. It's a false rumour and the person who made it only wanted to do harm," said Xavi.
"I ratify what Xavi has said. The economic issue was not a condition of any kind," said Laporta, who assured that there was “total unanimity” among the directors to continue counting on Xavi.
Meanwhile, there were expectations about the changes that Laporta might have demanded from Xavi to give the go-ahead for his continuity. The Barcelona president did not want to go into these changes.
"I prefer not to reveal specifically what changes will be made to improve, it is a decision of the staff and the sporting area and I will support them. The staff will continue with the team. They are all involved and they are all 'Cules'. I am very grateful that they listened to us and waited for us," added Xavi. "I think my staff is amazing, obviously we have to improve and adjust things internally so that the players can perform at their best," he concluded.
