Lamine Yamal is having a dream start to life at Barcelona, which has prompted some of the Spanish press to compare him to Leo Messi, the best player in the history of the 'Cules'.
Catalan coach Xavi Hernandez was asked at a press conference ahead of the Champions League match against Porto about Lamine Yamal's incredible performances and comparisons with the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner.
"The expectations are tremendous, he is playing at a brutal level, but we will see in the future. The players who have been compared to Messi have not done well," concluded Xavi.
The former Barcelona player also commented on the renewal of the promising youngster, saying that "hopefully he will make an era at Barcelona".
