Xavi one of many walking tight rope against Villarreal

Barcelona are away to Villarreal on Sunday at 21:00 CET. Villarreal lie in wait and they are hoping to get the three points against the Yellow Submarine. If they do that, they would be 11 points clear of Real Madrid as Ancelotti's side do not play until Wednesday. That is due to their participation in the Club World Cup, which they ended up winning.
For the match, Xavi knows that he will have to be careful. Three of his players are just a booking away from suspension: Araujo, Gavi and Ferran Torres.
Both Araujo and Gavi were substituted at the back end of the match against Sevilla as Xavi did not want to risk them missing the Villarreal encounter. It is interesting to see what approach is taken for this match.
As for Gavi, it is not just in La Liga where he has to be careful. He is also a yellow card away from suspension in Europe so if he is booked in the first leg between Barcelona and Man Utd in the Europa League knockout play-off round, he will miss the trip to Manchester.
Coach Xavi also has to watch his step and he has seen four yellow cards this term so he would miss the Cadiz clash if he were to see yellow against Villarreal.
