Barcelona want to keep their young talent Lamine Yamal. On the 1st July, the player will be 16 and will therefore be able to sign his first professional contract with the 'Cules'. At the moment, there is a good relationship between his agent and the Barcelona board.

After training with the first team during the World Cup break, Lamine Yamal could go one step further in his sporting career. Barcelona are considering signing their young talent on for longer, according to 'Mundo Deportivo'.
At just 15 years of age, the academy striker caught the eye of the Barcelona management team. That is why Xavi invited him to train with the first team.
Despite being very limited because of the 'Financial Fair Play rules', the sporting management are very conscious of the fact that on the 1st July, the player will turn 16. This brings with it the freedom to be able to sign his first professional contract.
His desirable progress has made a lot of European clubs interested. For now, there is a good relationship between his agent, Ivan de la Pena, who is the same one as Gavi, and president Joan Laporta, as well as with sporting director Jordi Cruyff.
