In recent years, the transfer market has undergone a number of changes, many of which have had to do with financial restrictions imposed by the transfer agencies over the years, forcing clubs to change their transfer policies.
Manchester United is another such club that has moved away from signing established stars from the top flight to go for young talent before their market value rises as they rise to fame or make his breakthrough.
Red Devils coach Erik ten Hag said that the Mancunian club is signing young players because of club decisions that also have to do with financial restrictions. Furthermore, the Dutch coach asked the fans to be patient as all these new signings have not yet reached their prime.
"Yes, those are the choices we have made in the last two seasons. I understand the impression that many have for Manchester United because the history is so big," he said.
"Those are the choices we have made - and also it has something to do with financials and other restrictions we have to deal with. We made the choice for younger players and you can’t expect them to be at the top level yet," he concluded.
