La Liga 2024/25 will kick off on the weekend of 16, 17 and 18 August, two days after the European Super Cup, in which Real Madrid will face Atalanta at the National Stadium in Warsaw on 14 August.
La Liga president Javier Tebas confirmed the kick-off dates to the media on Sunday after attending the La Liga FC Futures tournament in Villarreal, where Valencia beat Sevilla 3-0 in the final of the tournament.
Next season will kick off after the resolution of the first continental club title between Champions League winners Real Madrid and Europa League champions Atalanta, and barely a month after the final of the European Championship in Germany.
Asked about Barcelona's chances of making new signings next season, Tebas commented that it will "depend on some questions" that the club has to ask. "They are telling us that they are doing well and maybe some departures," he said.
