Luka Modric's future is still up in the air with just three months left on his contract. The Croatian midfielder has yet to sign a contract renewal with the club and will leave as a free agent on 30th June.
Negotiations and contacts are taking place in the Santiago Bernabeu offices, but Saudi Arabia would like to have the former Tottenham man playing there and he is reportedly being approached by Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr.
In the face of this rumour, the midfielder wanted to make his intention clear: "My desire is well known, to stay at Madrid. The rest are just rumours and suppositions. I repeat for the 100th time, I hope and believe that I will stay at Real Madrid".
These statements reassured the 'Merengues' fans and made clear the willingness of one of the parties to sign the renewal. Everything remains in the hands of the club, who will have to decide if they want to keep the Croatian in the squad.
