Ruben Amorim led his first training session as Manchester United head coach on Monday. According to Manchester Evening News', 16-year-old talent Godwill Kukonki took part in the Portuguese's session at Carrington.
Despite only being 16, Kukonki has quickly made his way up the academy and currently plays for United's under-18s, with whom he has been having a stellar season. Amorim has seemingly taken note of the young 6ft 5ins defender and rewarded him with his first involvement with the senior team, marking a huge milestone in his career.
Steven Railston reports that Kukonki has been compared with the likes of Man City's Josko Gvardiol, both left-footed defenders. Although Kukonki often plays in a more central role in defense, he is reportedly also "comfortable at left-back" and has covered both positions while playing for the under-18s.
Red Devils midfielder Kobbie Mainoo was also present during Monday's session, as he nears a return from injury. Mainoo picked up a muscle strain in United's Permier League game against Aston Villa last month.
