Pleased with the team's performance against Chelsea, but always measured, Carlo Ancelotti analysed the current situation and looks forward to the players who will rejoin the squad after this American tour before facing the European Super Cup clash against Atalanta.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti was satisfied with the pre-season work in the United States on Tuesday and, while waiting for the absent stars to join him on this tour, he assured that preparations for the European Super Cup are on track.
"The good thing is that the players who are here (against Chelsea) have shown good condition," he said in the mixed zone after Madrid's 2-1 friendly win in Charlotte.
"We are almost ready with these players to prepare well for the European Super Cup (against Atalanta on 14th August). Let's see how the other seven come back, who will return on Wednesday. They have been working at home. Hopefully they'll be in good shape.
The Italian coach was referring to the seven 'Merengues' stars who did not make the US tour, a list full of impressive names that includes Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, Dani Carvajal, Ferland Mendy, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde (the injured David Alaba did not travel to the US either).
On the win against Chelsea, which came after two defeats to Milan and Barcelona, Ancelotti said it was "a more open game" than previous ones. "Chelsea press high, they left space at the back. With Vinicius and Rodrygo, the movement of the two gives us a lot more vertical play," he analysed.
Finally, Ancelotti highlighted the challenge of "balance" between attack and defence in this "strong, competitive and fantastic" Madrid squad.
"The main objective is balance. On the ball there is not much to say: they all have fantastic quality. Without the ball everyone has to sacrifice and this is the only way to have balance in the season, which is the most important aspect," he argued.
