Real Madrid comfortably beat Almeria 4-2 at the Santiago Bernabeu in La Liga's matchday 32. However, it was not all good news.
Towards the end of the game, Vinicius Junior felt discomfort in one of his knees and asked to be substituted. This situation set off all the alarm bells in the 'Merengues' ahead of the Copa del Rey final against Osasuna and the Champions League semi-finals against Manchester City in the Champions League.
However, once the game was over, Carlo Ancelotti spoke to DAZN and reassured them about the Brazilian's situation: "He had a knock on his knee. It was bothering him a little bit, but it's nothing. In a couple of days he will recover. He'll be ready for the Copa del Rey final.
Regarding the yellow card that Vinicius was shown, he said: "The reality is that he protests because he always gets fouled repeatedly. He protests and he gets a yellow card. He has ten yellow cards, far less than his opponents.... Now it's time for him to rest.
"It's clear that Vinicius doesn't win anything by complaining. But it's also quite surprising that he has been shown ten yellow cards this league and that the dirtiest midfielder hasn't. It's quite surprising," he concluded.
