However, unfortunately for the Chelsea right-back and for Southgate, he will not be able to go to Qatar. That is what 'Sky Sports' have confirmed, after breaking the news this Wednesday that the English international will be out for the next World Cup.
The decision was made by the England manager, who has decided to leave him at home because he has not recovered on time, and he will not be at 100% like the rest of his teammates. Despite not being published, James will not be in the list of 26 players chosen by Southgate.
There are a lot of big names out for this World Cup, after that it was revealed that Sadio Mane will not be able to be there with Senegal. The player suffered a tendon injury in his last game for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga before the tournament.
