Arsenal are struggling to score goals, after leading the Premier League for several matchdays, Arteta's side have gone four games without a win and were knocked out of the FA Cup by Liverpool in a game that could have been a different story if they had been more clinical.
The Gunners will be looking in the January transfer window for a striker to improve on the numbers of Jesus, Nketiah and Havertz, who have scored just 12 goals between them in the Premier League.
According to reports in The Sun, Arsenal have reportedly set Getafe striker Borja Mayoral as their target and have made an offer of around £22m for the Spanish striker.
The La Liga club are believed to be waiting for the Emirates Stadium outfit to raise that bid to around £39m before they can close the deal, although the Gunners are confident of a lower price.
Mayoral is having a fine season in which only Real Madrid star Bellingham has scored more goals (13) than the former 'Merengues' academy player (12).
