Roma are keeping their chances of qualifying for next season's Champions League alive after Atalanta won the Europa League against Bayer Leverkusen (3-0).
For Serie A's sixth-placed side to qualify for the Champions League, with Roma already mathematically in possession of that place, two things had to happen. The first has already happened, which was the victory of 'La Dea' against Bayer Leverkusen.
Now all that remains is for Atalanta to finish fifth in the table. If they finish in that position, Italy will have six teams in Europe's top tier.
Should Gasperini's side finish fourth or third, Roma will play in the Europa League. The Bergamo side still have two games to go.
