Borussia Dortmund">Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha said on Tuesday his side are in "top form" for the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Atletico Madrid at the Metropolitano stadium.
"I'm very excited to be able to play this game. The team is in great shape. We're really looking forward to it. We all want to be here in the Champions League and we hope to get a good result," said the player, who is tipped to replace Emre Can if he is unavailable due to illness.
"Atletico have very good players," added the player, who was signed last summer from Wolfsburg for 30 million euros but has made just nine starts in his first season at Borussia Dortmund. He has played 20 games in total.
"I had a long injury and I'm just getting into the rhythm. When we played Bayern I was already in the starting eleven. I want to get those minutes back now. It's very important for me. Competition has always existed and will continue to exist. The important thing is to win as a team," he explained.
