Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has included Antoine Griezmann and Mario Hermoso in his 21-man squad for the Copa del Rey quarter-final against Sevilla, with Reinildo Mandava returning and Horatiu Moldovan making his debut.
"We hope that between now and Thursday they will recover better and we will decide what is best for everyone," said the Argentinian coach on Wednesday, who is counting on them in the squad and probably in the starting line-up for tonight's match at the Civitas Metropolitano stadium, in which he has Thomas Lemar and Cesar Azpilicueta, the only two first-team players out of the squad, out through injury.
The rest are in the squad list, including Reinildo Mandava, returning from the Africa Cup of Nations after Monday's elimination from the Mozambique squad, and Horatiu Moldovan, signed by the Madrid side as a second-choice goalkeeper from Rapid Bucharest.
Goalkeepers: Jan Oblak, Horatiu Moldovan and Antonio Gomis.
Defenders: Nahuel Molina, Stefan Savic, Jose Maria Gimenez, Axel Witsel, Mario Hermoso, Caglar Soyuncu and Reinildo Mandava.
Midfielders: Koke Resurreccion, Pablo Barrios, Saul Niguez, Rodrigo de Paul and Marcos Llorente.
Forwards: Samuel Lino, Rodrigo Riquelme; and forwards Antoine Griezmann, Ángel Correa, Memphis Depay and Alvaro Morata.
