Bernardo Silva is looking for a new challenge, despite Man City's reluctance to let him leave. The playmaker is on Barcelona's radar, and the club are so interested in the Portuguese star that they could be willing to swap him for one of their own, Frenkie de Jong, in order to be able to secure the move.

Bernardo Silva has made no secret of the fact that he wants to leave Manchester City, despite his club's reluctance. The playmaker was key for Pep Guardiola's treble winners, but he has been on the radar of big names like Barcelona and PSG, who have had eyes on the Portuguese star for a while now.
'Mirror' reports that Barca coach, Xavi Hernandez, would even be willing to sanction a big trade in order to try and bring the 28-year-old to Spain. Still working within the confines of Financial Fair Play rules, the Catalans couldn't compete with the kind of offer a club like PSG could make, but the Spaniards would reportedly try and ease the financial side of the deal by offering midfielder Frenkie de Jong.
The deal would likely be complicated, as Barca had previously green lit a move for the Dutchman to Manchester United which fell through because the player didn't want to leave.
The La Liga champions might insist this time however, as Xavi has previously said he's a great admirer of Bernardo Silva and his City teammate, Kevin De Bruyne. No steps have been taken at this stage, but there is still plenty of time left in the summer window.
