Bernardo Silva is causing quite a bit of trouble across Europe. According to 'Mundo Deportivo', Barcelona have all eyes on the Portuguese playmaker, as the Catalans have all-but-officially lost winger Ousmane Dembele to Paris Saint-Germain.
The outlet writes that everyone in the offices of the Camp Nou have given the green light to the prospect, from manager Xavi Hernandez to president Joan Laporta.
On Saturday, they reported that the current plan to attract the playermaker to Barcelona is to suggest a loan move to City for the coming season, with an compulsory purchase option in July 2024. However, the deal may be almost impossible to complete.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City have made it clear that they have no intention to negotiate over Bernardo Silva, and are planning to offer him a new contract to try and avoid a departure. There is not yet concern at the Etihad that he'll walk for free, as the playmaker is under contract until June 2025.
The Sky Blues have made their position to PSG and Barca clear, with Pep Guardiola even declaring so in a press conference: "We haven't received an offer, what can I saw? He's our player and we want him. If they wanted him, they would get on a plane and come here to negotiate".
Although the 28-year-old has previously appeared open to leaving Man City, Guardiola is keen for him to stay, and by offering him a new contract, they will put the ball in his court.
