Barca's priority: renewing Balde

Left-back Alejandro Balde has a long career ahead of him at Barça. The 'Cules' refuse to see him leave, as they are counting on him in the long term. He is part of the club's future project, one of its most prized assets.

Barca want to put the matter to rest before the end of the year. Talks between his agent, Jorge Mendes, and the club are underway. The player and the club seem to go hand in hand in terms of his demands, so it is hoped that it will not take too long.
At the moment, according to the Catalan newspaper, there is no agreement between the parties, as there is a certain financial difference between the two sides. Balde wants his renewal to be similar in financial terms to that of Araujo and Gavi. That is what they have to negotiate from now on.
The Catalan giants want him to stay until 2027. His buyout clause is currently 500 million euros. That figure is not expected to change with the new contract.
