Robert Lewandowski is the main man up front for Xavi's side, but that is not enough for Barcelona. The club are looking to complement him in the transfer market (and for someone who could replace him in the future), and the favourite to accompany the Pole is 17 year old Vitor Roque.
'Mundo Deportivo' claim that Barcelona are certain about it and that they are preparing to go after the Athletico Paranaense striker. The board are looking into how to get him to the Camp Nou.
Vitor Roque's agent will soon travel to Barcelona to talk about a possible future for the player. Even though sides like PSG and Chelsea are also interested in the young attacker, he would prefer to join the Catalan side.
Barcelona are hoping to have budget in the summer to be able to sign players. Vitor Roque would go down well because he would not cost too much, therefore meaning he would not pose any others problems provided the side can free up their wage bill to adhere to the 'Financial Fair Play' rules.
The club are drawing up the plan and, according to the Catalan paper, the main problem in the way of carrying it out is his price tag. Athletico Paranaense want to get between €35-40 million for their star. The Spanish giants will try and get a discount (if they end up being able to afford him) to try and get him to the Camp Nou.
