Pau Cubarsi is only 17 years old and Barca is already working to tie him down, as they know of his potential. The player has already received proposals from other clubs, but he wants to make history at Camp Nou.
According to 'Mundo Deportivo', the Catalan giants would have made him a renewal offer. They would have offered him a first contract until he turns 18 in 2025 with the promise that, later, he will sign the definitive one, which will link him to the 'Cule' entity until 2030.
In case of giving the go-ahead, Cubarsi will have a clause of 1,000 million euros. He will be scured like Lamine Yamal, Balde, or Gavi. Underage footballers cannot sign for more than 3 years. Hence, Barca will offer him a first contract and then a long-term contract.
Barca are aware of the interest that Cubarsi attracts and want to leave him well tied, because right now, according to the Catalan newspaper, his starting price is less than 10 million euros. Big clubs like Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal or Bayern would be after the track of this talent, but his mind is to succeed in the Camp Nou, so the club hope that his renewal is closed as soon as possible.
Cubarsi has a busy summer ahead of him. 'Sport', the other major Catalan newspaper, claims that the RFEF takes into account the defender's progression and he could play both the European Championship in Germany and the Olympic Games in Paris with 'la Roja'.
Meanwhile, the defender has made it clear that he will give his all on the field every time Xavi gives him the opportunity to play, as he did against Mallorca. "I always give 200%, I don't care who is in front of me," he said in his last appearance before the media.
