Barcelona tie Balde and Inaki Pena down but keeper could go on loan

After the Spanish Super Cup win against Real Madrid, Joan Laporta confirmed that they are to work on Alejandro Balde's extension until the end of the season.
According to 'Sport', the deal with the left-back is complete and they are just waiting for him to sign. It is the same story with goalkeeper Inaki Pena, as him staying is to be announced in the next few days.
The source also reported that the goalkeeper, whose contract was going to be up in June, will sign on until 2026. However, him returning to Turkey on loan after Fenerbahce's interest has not been ruled out.
From what it seems, the Turkish outfit are looking for competition after top-tier goalkeeper Altay Bayindir arrived as the side's man between the sticks.
It is not known, however, how many years Balde will sign for, but the beginnings of a deal are there and the Camp Nou are hoping that it will not be long before they can announce it.
