Barcelona announced this Wednesday that they will present an official appeal against Robert Lewandowski's three match ban granted by the Royal Federation of Spanish Football.
Barca's number 9 received a double yellow card in his last league game in Pamplona, Barcelona coming out victors 1-2, thanks to goals from Pedri and Raphinha.
However, that game's referee, Gil Manzano, wrote in his match report the following: "Once sent off and when he was going off the pitch, the player made two gests disapproving of the referee decision by putting his finger to his nose, and then with his thumb towards the referee. When he was going off the pitch he repeated the gesture, looking towards the assistant referee number one, in front of the fourth official".
The three games for which the Pole is banned will mean he cannot play against Espanyol, Atletico Madrid and Getafe, as the game against Betis has been postponed due to the Spanish Super Cup.
