Barcelona, on the occasion of the announcement of their second kit, showed the patch it will wear in the 2023-24 season for having won the 2022-23 La Liga. It is a gold-toned patch with the years in which the championship has been played in white.

Barcelona won La Liga last season, the first in which Xavi Hernandez was in charge of the squad since the preparatory stage of the competition, and will wear a patch accordingly in the 23-24 season. The club themselves unveiled it at the announcement of their second kit, which has attracted attention for being in white, the same colour as that of eternal rivals Real Madrid.
The Blaugranas beat the 'Merengues' domestically with a 10-point advantage. Their season ended with 88 points, while Carlo Ancelotti's side, with just a one-point cushion over Atletico, finished the year with 78. Real Sociedad, taking advantage of Sevilla's slump, took fourth place with 71 points, which marks a certain difference between the top three and the rest of the teams.
The 'Cules' won the trophy, which is now displayed in the form of a red design on the sleeve of their shirt. The patch shows the years in which the championship has been won and, between them, their silhouette appears. The background, in golden tones, gives that touch of glory that distinguishes the shirt from those of the other clubs and appears above the new La Liga logo, which has changed its sponsor.
"The champions patch," reads the tweet with which Barcelona announced the news. Looking ahead to the 23-24 campaign, Xavi Hernandez's side are once again among the favourites to win in ther Spanish league, although Madrid will be looking to reign again with reinforcements such as Jude Bellingham and Brahim Diaz.
