Barcelona want Vitor Roque to complement Lewandowski

Barcelona have now found a role for Vitor Roque, the young 17 year old striker who they have been following for weeks. The Catalan side want the Brazilian to become Robert Lewandowski's striker partner in the side's attack.

Vitor Roque is still one of Barcelona's main targets ahead of the summer window. The young Athletico Paranaense striker, which is where he has a contract until 2027, will be 18 on the 28th Feburary.
Brazilian U20 international, the striker from Cruzeiro has been on the Catalan side's agenda for weeks, and the Camp Nou board are following his movements and development in his country very closely.
According to 'Sport', the Catalans are fans of his speed, verticality, vision for the game and ability to mop up rebounds, which are qualitites which have allowed him to get seven goals and three assists in the 36 games he has played so far this season, of which he has started 19.
Mateu Alemany and Jordi Cruyff are the ones in charge of getting Roque in, as they think the player would be ideal to strengthen the 'Cule' attack. According to the mentioned source, their idea is for the Brazilian to become a compliment to Robert Lewandowski, as well as an undoubted starter in Barca's attack.
The Catalan side's plan is to to come to an agreement with Athletico Paranaense ahead of next summer, when it is expected he will join the Spanish giants. Having said that, Barcelona would have to get the calculator out do the maths, as Roque would cost around €30 million plus €5 million in add-ons.
