Former German international Paul Breitner thanked Saudi Arabia for signing Neymar and was glad not to have to "stand him" anymore in Europe in a rant in which he branded the Brazilian fake and dramatic.
"Thank you Saudis for buying Neymar, one of the most dubious football players to exist in recent years. One of the greatest players at theatrics", declared Breitner on German programme 'Blickpunkt Sport'.
"He is the most deceitful germ. You have to thank them now we don't have to stand him anymore", continued the former Bayern and Real Madrid player.
Breitner also gave his opinion on the arrival of big stars of world football such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane and Karim Benzema, among others, in Saudi football. The German was categorical and made no attempt to hide his disdain, believing they prioritised money instead of continuing their careers in Europe: "And what good is so much money there?", he demanded.
