Bayern Munich are planning to go for one of Xabi Alonso's star players in 2025 after being overtaken by Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga. According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Florian Wirtz is being targeted by the German giants.
The midfielder is a clear target for the Bavarian giants, who want to make an attempt to sign him. The journalist says the player's family sees Bayern as a stepping stone before playing outside Germany in the future.
Bayer Leverkusen have already valued their star player, who has scored 18 goals and provided 19 assists this season, at more than 100 million euros. Bayern sporting director Max Eberl has spoken of their interest in the 21-year-old.
"When a player like Wirtz is available, we have to consider him. But such a player can also decline our offer," he told reporters.
