Kylian Mbappe will stay at Paris Saint-Germain for the 2023-24 season. Neither the interest of Real Madrid, nor the pressures of the French club have made him change his mind.
The Frenchman already sent a letter to the Parisian club in which he informed them that he would not renew until 2025, with the clause he had until 31st July, and that he would not accept a departure this summer either.
However, the French club has been pressuring the player to either renew his contract or leave this summer. Al-Khelaifi's position is clear: they will not let the French superstar leave for free in 2024. In addition, it is worth remembering that the player is training with PSG's discarded players and will reportedly miss the Ligue 1 opener against Lorient, as a pressure measure for the former Monaco man to accept a transfer.
Now, after the latest reports, the French striker has reaffirmed his decision, according to 'Le Parisien'. He has decided to stay whatever happens, even if he has to spend the whole year in the stands.
"Staying at PSG is my only option at the moment," said the Parisian striker on 16th June. Two months later, he has not changed his mind.
