Wesley Sneijder has played against Sergio Busquets five times in his now-defunct career - once for Real Madrid, twice for Inter Milan and twice for the Netherlands. Now, the former Dutch player spends some of his time offering analysis to Ziggo Sport, to whom he gave an interview this weekend in which he was highly critical of the Spanish midfielder.
"In 2010, we beat Barcelona 3-1 at home and then we had to play at the Camp Nou. Eight minutes had gone when Thiago Motta touched him and Busquets started rolling on the ground looking between his hands in case Motta was shown a red card. Every time he was hit, he started crying," he said.
"I had fights with him in every game. He was an extremely boring player. He always gave the ball to others, but he could never receive it. He is an unpleasant player to play with," he added. Sneijder won twice, lost three times and drew none in his matches against Busquets.
