Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola spoke to the media at the ‘Legends Trophy’ event and made some interesting quotes, in which he ruled out a return to coaching FC Barcelona in the future, as well as whether the Catalan club have made an offer for Bernardo Silva for the time being.
Other points in common between the ‘Cules' and the Cityzens is right-back Joao Cancelo, who joined the La Liga club on loan last summer and who will have to return to England this summer once his loan spell in Spain is over.
However, the Portuguese full-back has already repeatedly made it clear that he does not want to return to the Sky Blues and that his desire is to stay at the Camp Nou outfit, a possibility that is feasible according to the former Barca boss, as long as the two clubs come to an agreement this summer.
"We will talk with Barcelona about it, trying to find the best solution. If Joao wants to stay at Barça and the two clubs are able to agree on the fee, Cancelo will play for Barca again. We are on it, he’s our player," said the Spaniard.
