Casadei reveals why he decided to stay at Chelsea
Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei explained in an interview with ‘Tuttosport’ that a chat with Enzo Maresca and his desire to succeed at the Blues were key to him not leaving the club last summer.

Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei was reportedly close to leaving the club last summer in search of new opportunities. However, the young Inter product finally decided to stay at Stamford Bridge.
The 21-year-old said in an interview with 'Tuttosport' that Enzo Maresca was key in his decision to stay at the Blues. Furthermore, Casadei made it clear that he is not considering leaving in January or any kind of loan deal.
"I decided to stay at Chelsea in the summer as I spoke to Maresca and he’s been very clear. I didn’t have any doubt, I decided to stay and didn’t consider any loan proposal. I’m so proud to be at Chelsea and I’m not planning for January move," he said.
"I want to become an important player for Chelsea. I will give my best, it’s one of the best clubs in the world. I’m working hard. Maresca has been very clear since day one, we understood his tactical plan immediately," he concluded.
