Marbella continues to be a favourite destination for footballers, with many of them coming to put down roots in the Spanish coastal town. Manchester United midfielder and Real Madrid legend Casemiro is the latest to do so.
In an official statement, Marbella FC announced on Tuesday that Carlos Henrique Casemiro has become a new shareholder of the club, which has just been promoted to the Spanish third division this season.
"The confirmation of Casemiro as a new member of the board of directors is a historic opportunity for the club to continue projecting its institutional and sporting strategy in elite football," they said.
All of this has links to Best of You Sports, the company that has owned Marbella since 2018 and which in turn acts as the Brazilian midfielder's representative agency.
Former Madrid player Esteban Granero serves as president of the club and is already planning the construction of a new stadium with an investment of around 115 million euros.
Meanwhile, Casemiro was happy to take this step in his career: "It is an honour for me to join Marbella FC because my biggest motivation is the spectacular growth potential of the club.
"I have been to Marbella with my family on several occasions and both my children, my wife and I are in love with this city, with which we want to be linked for life. Without a doubt, together we will dream big to take Marbella to the top," he added.
