Kylian Mbappe told Paris Saint-Germain on Monday he would not be taking up an option to extend his contract by one year beyond 2024. As a result, the Frenchman could leave Parc des Princes as a free agent next season if the board do not sell him in the summer.
Real Madrid are the main contenders to secure his services as they tried last year but the striker ended up renewing his contract. However, according to the 'Daily Mail', Chelsea have been made aware of the France star's situation and are interested in signing him.
Meanwhile, Manchester United could also be a suitor to sign the 24-year-old as he is a well-liked player for the Red Devils and they could now afford his transfer as, according to reports from several media outlets, Qatari Sheikh Jassim has won the race to become the new owner of the Glazer familiy's team.
Mbappe's future is uncertain but he already has several European clubs registering an interest in him. However, the striker is expected to join 'Los Blancos' as he seems to have regretted his decision last summer transfer window.
