Chelsea announced on Tuesday the shock decision that they had reached an agreement with Mauricio Pochettino to step down as manager of the club after just one season in London.
Since then, the manager has received several messages of support from some of his star players, including Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke, who was more terse with a "Thank you" on his social media.
"Gaffer, thank you for everything you have done for me and making my dreams come true. All the best," Cole Palmer said of his former coach.
Cucurella also wanted to add to the expressions of affection received by the former Spurs coach. "Thanks for everything, Mister. Good luck in the future".
Some of the players have been ‘devastated’ by the sacking decision such as Nicolas Jackson who posted a picture of himself and Pochettino captioned with two emojis of a man putting his face in his hands.
The striker later added a screenshot to his Instagram stories in which he dedicated a few words to him as well: “Love you coach. Wish we could stay together more (hand-over-face emoji). But may God continue to bless you and your family. Thanks for the advices and support, you're a true lion and a fighter, wish you all the best (heart emoji).”
