It's no secret that Manchester United are very keen on Mason Mount for next campaign. The Red Devils are looking to boost their midfield and front lines, and Mount is the main contender, having scored 33 goals and provided 37 assists in 195 appearances for Chelsea in his time there.
Erik ten Hag's side offered 40 million pounds for his transfer but the Blues did not consider their offer and rejected it. As a result, the Old Trafford outfit have offered a further ten million pounds but, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, their offer was turned down on Wednesday.
They sent the new and improved offer on Wednesday morning and it was rejected hours later. The same media outlet reports that negotiations are ongoing but United will not pay the figure Chelsea are asking for.
The Stamford Bridge outfit want to sell the England midfielder for £60 million plus add-ons. Meanwhile, the England international will be looking for a new destination in the next transfer window as he is set to leave his current club in the summer.
