Chelsea have endured one of the worst seasons in their history and it adds yet another chapter to the turbulent times in which the Stamford Bridge outfit have found themselves. However, the Blues appear to be starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel.
Mauricio Pochettino's side have shown glimpses of quality this season, such as their latest 5-0 Premier League win over West Ham, which has seen them move up to seventh on 54 points, six points off the European qualification places, something that gives some hope to the Argentine manager, who believes qualification would be a vital confidence boost for his squad.
"I don’t want to say nothing because from the beginning of the season I said the objective always is to win because we are Chelsea but that created too much pressure," he told reporters.
"The objective for us is to be mature and to keep the momentum and to compete, improving in every single game. We are going to try to be in Europe. It’s going to be good for the team and the players to be in Europe next season," concluded the Argentinian coach.
