Chelsea and Liverpool will meet at Wembley in the EFL Cup final on 25 February after knocking out Middlesbrough and Fulham respectively. Blues defender Ben Chilwell has now lost three cup finals with the Blues and two of those have come against Jurgen Klopp's side.
The 27-year-old admitted to the press after the Boro game that in a shower talk he had with Thiago Silva they were discussing the fact that they have "unfinished business" with Liverpool at Wembley.
“It’s three finals we’ve lost (two FA Cups and one Carabao Cup) so 100 per cent there is unfinished business. I was, literally, five minutes ago talking to Thiago in the shower and saying how we’ve got unfinished business at Wembley.,” said the left-back.
“We want to go and win and, as a group, we need to make sure that we go and really enjoy the experience and soak it in. That’s equally important because there’s only a few of us who have won a trophy at Chelsea and it’s a club that demands trophies,” added Chilwell.
