Having recently extended his contract with RB Leipzig until 2027, Dani Olmo has been one of the standout performers of the early part of the season, including a hat-trick against Bayern Munich in the German Supercup final.
Following Kevin de Bruyne's injury, the Spaniard has seen his name linked with Manchester City, who have put Lucas Paqueta on standby due to the sports betting affair.
Asked about his possible move to Pep Guardiola's side, Dani Olmo was keen to deny all the rumours: "There's nothing going on with Manchester City. I'm focused on my work with Leipzig, the Bundesliga, the Champions League and the Cup. City are one of the best teams in the world, Gvardiol went there, but I'm happy here.
Given this situation, it is possible that the Sky Blues will go for Florian Wirtz, another attacking midfielder who shines in the Bundesliga, in this case, under the orders of Xabi Alonso at Bayer Leverkusen.
