Alphonso Davies will have to wait to join Real Madrid. According to ‘AS’, the player and the ‘Merengues’ have agreed to talk next summer in the face of Bayern's high financial demands. 'Los Blancos' were willing to pay 35 million for the defender, but this way he would be free in a year.

Although Alphonso Davies dreams of playing at the Santiago Bernabeu, that dream will have to wait at least a year. Real Madrid and the left-back will wait until 2025, when his contract with Bayern expires, to discuss a future together.
The Spanish club had intended to offer 35 million euros to bring Davies into their ranks this summer for 2024-25. However, Bayern consider this offer to be insufficient and Real Madrid do not intend to raise it, aware that, in a year's time, the player will be signed as a free agent.
Given this scenario, the Real Madrid board has reached an agreement with Davies. They will talk next summer and, if he waits until then, he will receive a generous signing bonus for his patience.
Madrid do not need to bring in a left-back right now. With Mendy, who will sign a new deal with 'Los Blancos', and Fran Garcia, the position is perfectly covered until 2025.
In the meantime, the Canadian has no choice but to hold on. Bayern, who have been trying to convince him in recent months to renew his contract, have made it clear that they will not make him any more offers (or at least not better ones in economic terms). He will have to spend the next season in Munich and, with his contract already terminated, he will leave for the Santiago Bernabeu.
