Bad news for Manchester City. Kevin De Bruyne could miss the start of next season due to the injury he suffered in the Champions League final against Inter in Istanbul.
The Belgian had to be substituted in the 68th minute despite trying to continue playing. Phil Foden took his place on the pitch.
Furthermore, the 31-year-old admitted he has been battling a hamstring injury for the past two months: "I've been struggling for two months, since the Bayern Munich game away. Obviously I missed some games but the games like Arsenal, Bayern and Real Madrid I managed to do it.
"So I missed I would say a fair amount of games but it was all small ruptures. I snapped it all the way here so I wasn't able to go on," he added.
As a result, De Bruyne could be unavailable for Pep Guardiola at the start of next campaign. Likewise, he could miss the European Super Cup against Sevilla in August.
