De Ligt rules out Chelsea move: "I feel at home in Munich"

After the Netherlands' win against the USA in the Qatar World Cup, Matthijs de Ligt admitted that he feels "like he's at home" and that he did not speak to Chelsea last summer.

In comments to 'The Evening Standard', De Ligt spoke about "rumours" which linked him with a move to Chelsea last summer. However, he ended up moving to Bayern Munich.
"It wasn't with me, but there may have been something between the clubs. Honestly, I didn't speak to them this summer," the Netherlands central defender said after beating the USA in Qatar.
De Ligt stressed that it's unbelievable" to form part of Bayern Munich and that he's "having a good time there. "There were a lot of rumours which did not come from me,· the Dutch footballer said.
"I feel like at home after a lot of months. I believe that the way I played for Bayern gave me the opportunity to play in the first game of the World Cup, so I feel I made a good decision and I'm very happy there," he said.
The former Ajax and Juventus man is happy in the Bundesliga. This season, he has played 18 games in total although he is not playing as regularly for the Netherlands.
