Dembele to miss El Clasico, Pedri out for Athletic clash

Bad news at Barcelona. While Dembele will not be at the most important game of the season for the 'Cules', Pedri will not play against Athletic on Sunday either.
Helena Condis said on Thursday on 'El Partidazo de COPE' that Ousmane Dembele is "definitely ruled out" for El Clasico on 19th March at the Camp Nou. Xavi Hernandez would have preferred to opt for maximum caution regarding the Frenchman's physical condition.
The player picked up an injury against Girona on 28th January due to a hamstring injury in the anterior rectus of his left thigh. This matchday will be the ninth consecutive game without him.
Meanwhile, Pedri Gonzalez will not be in Barcelona's squad for Sunday's trip to San Mames, according to RAC1. The midfielder will not play against Athletic due to an injury to his right rectus anterior thigh.
The Canary Islander was injured against Manchester United at Old Trafford on 16th February. The good news in Barcelona is that, unlike the Frenchman, the '8' does look like he will be in Xavi Hernandez's squad-list for El Clasico.
