Dembele's Barca exit could open the door for Cancelo
If Ousmane Dembele joins Paris-Saint Germain, Barcelona could turn to secure the services of Joao Cancelo, using the money from the Frenchman's sale. The Portuguese international remains one of the players pegged for an exit from Manchester City.

Sent out on loan to Bayern Munich in the second half of 2022-23 after falling out with manager Pep Guardiola, Joao Cancelo has now returned to Manchester City. But not necessarily for long.
Regarding the player, the Spanish coach was rather lukewarm : "He's here with group", he said last week. "Joao Cancelo has been very important for us in the past. After his loan at Bayern last season, he's back and part of the team, but we'll see what happens".
In short, it seems like the door is open to the Portuguese international should he decide to leave. And it could be that he finds a place with Barcelona, his main suitors. But everything will depend on the future of Ousmane Dembele, who looks to be heading straight for Paris.
PSG have just one day left to activate the 50 million euro clause on the French internatioanl, and according to 'RMC Sport', the move will be finalised this Monday.
A sale that would bring Barca 25 million euros. In such a case, the Catalan club is ready to invest this sum in Cancelo to strengthen its right flank, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Although Cancelo does not play in the same position as Dembele, the Frenchman's departure should enable the Portuguese to make a place for himself in Xavi's team, which has until August 31st to recruit an additional winger.
