England book ticket to Euro 2024 semis on penalties

England beat Switzerland 5-3 on penalties in the quarter-finals of Euro 2024 in Dusseldorf to face either Turkey or the Netherlands in the next round of the international competition.

The first half of the match ended in a goalless draw. Embolo opened the scoring in the 75th minute and it took only five minutes for Saka to find an equaliser. The clash went to extra-time but both teams were unable to take the lead without going to penalties.
